# Menus, zoom, and startup

The native menu bar, persisted zoom, launch at login, and tray behavior.

## The application menu

The Supastack menu holds About, Check for Updates…, a Beta Updates checkbox (enabled only when an updater endpoint carries a channel slot), a Launch at Login checkbox, and Quit behind CmdOrCtrl+Q. The Edit menu keeps the standard undo, cut, copy, paste, and select-all items — required on macOS, where system shortcuts otherwise never reach the webview.

## Navigate, View, and Window

Navigate offers Home (CmdOrCtrl+Shift+H), Back (CmdOrCtrl+[), Forward (CmdOrCtrl+]), and Reload (CmdOrCtrl+R); Home returns to the configured app URL. View offers Zoom In (CmdOrCtrl+=), Zoom Out (CmdOrCtrl+-), Actual Size (CmdOrCtrl+0), and Toggle Full Screen. Window offers Minimize and Close Window — closing still hides to the tray instead of quitting.

## Zoom persists per machine

Zoom applies a CSS zoom factor to the page — the same mechanism across WKWebView, WebView2, and WebKitGTK — bounded between 0.3× and 3.0× in steps of 0.1. The choice persists in a zoom-state.json sidecar in the app config directory and mirrors into the page's per-origin storage, so it survives restarts and reloads alike.

## Launch at Login and the tray

Launch at Login registers the app in the operating system's startup list, and the checkbox mirrors the real OS state rather than an assumed one. The tray icon menu offers Show Supastack and Quit; a left click toggles the window — hidden or minimized means show and focus, focused means hide.

## Verification and troubleshooting

Walk each menu on the target OS: accelerators must fire inside the webview, zoom must survive a restart, the beta toggle must stay disabled without a channel-capable feed, and the tray left-click must summon then hide the window.
