Configure the desktop shell
Point the window at your app, set the summon shortcut and window preferences, and keep native settings out of the web bundle.
Setup and configuration
SUPASTACK_APP_URL chooses the Web app the shell loads. A runtime value wins over the build-time value, so the same installer can point at staging; production builds should compile an HTTPS origin. The window only navigates inside that origin — other links open in the default browser.
The three window preferences also exist as menu checkboxes and persist in the app config directory. SUPASTACK_DESKTOP_HOTKEY sets the global summon shortcut, and the SUPASTACK_DESKTOP_ALWAYS_ON_TOP, SUPASTACK_DESKTOP_START_MINIMIZED, and SUPASTACK_DESKTOP_CLOSE_TO_TRAY booleans override the persisted choice for one run. Start Minimized applies at window creation; Close to Tray is re-read on every close.

tauri.conf.json holds the product name, version, identifier, deep-link scheme, updater sentinel, and bundle targets. capabilities/default.json limits the webview to core services plus opening URLs. Never put provider secrets in the shell; it loads the same web app, and the server remains the trust boundary.
Verification and troubleshooting
Launch with a runtime SUPASTACK_APP_URL and confirm the window loads that origin. Toggle each window preference from the app menu, restart, and check that the persisted choice survives. Remove the environment overrides afterward so the menu state is authoritative again.
